Help gather data for the wiki

Most of this wiki is written from what players actually see in the game: which creature drops what and how often, where NPCs stand, what quests ask for and give. You can help by recording a play session in your browser and sending the file to YourName. The data is merged into the wiki, and your drops, kills and catches count toward the drop rates.

Recording does not change anything in the game and installs nothing. It uses the developer tools that come with your browser.

Before you start: privacy

A recording (a .har file) holds everything your browser exchanged with the game while it was running. That includes your character name, chat lines you saw, and possibly your login session. So if you have to login, do that first and only start the other steps once you're logged into the game.

  • Only send the file to VinceG. Never post it publicly or upload it to the wiki.
  • Log out of the game when you finish recording. That ends the session stored in the file, so nobody can use it, even if the file gets lost.
  • In Chrome, use the sanitized export described below. It leaves out cookies and login headers.

What is worth recording

Just play normally. Most useful are:

  • killing creatures and picking up their loot
  • gathering herbs and other nodes, and fishing
  • talking to NPCs: opening their shops, quests and quest hand-ins
  • opening your quest log, inventory and fishing log
  • travelling through zones, dungeons and portals

New zones, rare creatures and quests few people have done are worth the most. Sessions of 30 to 60 minutes work best. Very long recordings make the developer tools slow; just save and start a new one.

Google Chrome (recommended)

This also works in Edge, Brave, Opera and other Chrome-based browsers.

  1. Open the game at titansoftime.com, but do not log in yet.
  2. Press F12 (or Ctrl+Shift+I, on Mac Cmd+Option+I) to open the developer tools, and click the Network tab.
  3. Tick Preserve log.
  4. Make sure the filter bar is set to All, not Fetch/XHR. Otherwise the game's messages are left out.
  5. Press F5 to reload the page. Keep the developer tools open the whole time. Nothing is recorded while they are closed. You can make them smaller or dock them to the side.
  6. When you are done, click the download arrow in the Network tab's toolbar (Export HAR). If it asks, choose Export HAR (sanitized). You can also right-click any line in the list and choose Save all as HAR (sanitized).
  7. Save the file.

Mozilla Firefox

Firefox recordings help less: as far as we know, Firefox does not save the game's live messages (kills, drops, gathering, fishing) in the file. NPC windows, quests, your inventory and the fishing log still come through. If you can, use Chrome.

  1. Open the game at titansoftime.com, but do not log in yet.
  2. Press F12 (or Ctrl+Shift+E, on Mac Cmd+Option+E) and click the Network tab.
  3. Click the gear icon at the right of the Network toolbar and tick Persist Logs.
  4. Press F5 to reload the page with the developer tools open.
  5. When you are done, right-click any line in the request list and choose Save All As HAR.
  6. Save the file, then log out of the game. This matters more in Firefox, because its file includes your cookies.

Sending it

HAR files can be large (tens of MB). Zip the file to make it much smaller, then send it to VinceG directly, for example by Discord DM or a private file share. Thank you!
